- 20 mg: per vial
Tesamorelin is a synthetic analogue of growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH): the full 44-amino-acid human GHRH sequence with a trans-3-hexenoyl group attached at the N-terminus. It is identified by CAS 218949-48-5 and supplied as the acetate salt.
Choose the size
The 5 mg, 10 mg and 20 mg vials contain the same compound in different labelled amounts, so the choice depends on how much material a study needs from one lot.
Tesamorelin is a GHRH analogue and is distinct from other growth hormone secretagogues on this store. CJC-1295, for example, is a different modified GHRH fragment, and ipamorelin acts at the ghrelin receptor rather than the GHRH receptor. Tesamorelin is supplied on its own and is not a blend.
What the research establishes
Tesamorelin was developed by Theratechnologies and has been evaluated in a published clinical trial programme. Falutz and colleagues reported a randomised, placebo-controlled phase III trial in people with HIV and abdominal fat accumulation, examining changes in visceral adipose tissue and related metabolic measures. Its modified N-terminus was designed to increase resistance to cleavage by dipeptidyl peptidase compared with native GHRH.
These findings concern the regulated medicinal product in a defined clinical population under trial conditions. They do not describe the performance of this research material, which is not a medicine.
Review the COA and product files
COA & Documentation contains the available batch reports and product documentation. Check the lot and strength, confirm identity by mass spectrometry against the expected molecular weight of the hexenoyl-modified peptide, note the salt form, and check how purity was measured.
The strengths above describe labelled material, not a measured result for every lot. For handling and storage, consult the records that apply to your batch.
