Description
TB-500 5 mg and 10 mg
Buy TB-500 5 mg or 10 mg for laboratory research. Each vial contains TB-500 as lyophilized powder, in the labelled amount for the size selected.
- 5 mg: per vial
- 10 mg: per vial
The TB-500 supplied in this product is full-length, N-acetylated thymosin beta-4: a 43-amino-acid peptide identified by CAS 77591-33-4.
Choose the size
The 5 mg and 10 mg vials contain the same full-length peptide in different labelled amounts. Neither size is a blend.
A premixed BPC-157 + TB-500 product is also available for work that calls for both compounds in fixed proportions. The separate TB-500 product allows the amount of thymosin beta-4 to be chosen independently. Note that the name “TB-500” is also used elsewhere for a short synthetic fragment, so the identity stated above matters when comparing products.
What the research establishes
Bock-Marquette and colleagues studied thymosin beta-4 in cultured embryonic and postnatal cardiomyocytes and in a mouse model of coronary artery ligation. They reported that it promoted cardiac cell migration and survival in culture, formed a complex with PINCH and integrin-linked kinase leading to activation of Akt, and was associated with improved myocyte survival and cardiac function after ligation in mice. These findings concern thymosin beta-4 under those experimental conditions, not the performance of this product.
Esposito and colleagues analysed an acetylated seven-residue fragment in a different preparation sold as TB-500. Their study concerns that fragment, not this product’s full-length thymosin beta-4.
Review the COA and product files
COA & Documentation contains the available batch reports and product documentation. Check the lot and strength, and confirm that the mass spectrometry result corresponds to full-length thymosin beta-4 (around 4.96 kDa) rather than a short fragment. Note the purity method as well.
The strengths above describe labelled material, not a measured result for every lot. For handling and storage, consult the records that apply to your batch.
