Description
Kisspeptin 5 mg and 10 mg
Buy Kisspeptin 5 mg or 10 mg for laboratory research. Each vial contains the labeled amount of kisspeptin peptide as lyophilized powder.
- 5 mg: per vial
- 10 mg: per vial
Kisspeptins are a family of peptides derived from the KISS1 gene product that act at the kisspeptin receptor (KISS1R, also called GPR54). This product is human kisspeptin-10, the C-terminal decapeptide (YNWNSFGLRF-NH2) shared by the longer isoforms, identified by CAS 374675-21-5.
Choose the size
The 5 mg and 10 mg vials contain the same compound in different labeled amounts. Choose by the quantity your work requires; the peptide identity does not change between sizes.
Kisspeptin-10, kisspeptin-54 and other isoforms are different lengths of peptide, so equal milligram amounts of different isoforms do not represent equal numbers of molecules. Molar comparisons require the exact identity stated on the COA.
What the research establishes
George and colleagues studied kisspeptin-10 in men and reported that it stimulated luteinising hormone (LH) secretion and increased LH pulse frequency, describing kisspeptin-10 as the minimal kisspeptin sequence with full intrinsic bioactivity at its receptor. The work examined reproductive hormone signalling under controlled clinical research conditions.
These findings concern kisspeptin-10 as prepared and studied in that investigation, not the performance of this product. They do not establish any use outside a laboratory research setting.
Review the COA and product files
The COA & Documentation page contains the available batch reports and product documentation. Check the lot number and strength, the isoform and sequence the report assigns (for example kisspeptin-10, human), the method used to confirm identity (such as mass spectrometry) and the method used to determine purity (such as HPLC).
The strengths above describe labeled material, not a measured result for every lot. For handling and storage, consult the records applicable to your specific lot.
