Description
DSIP 5 mg, 10 mg and 20 mg
Buy DSIP 5 mg, 10 mg or 20 mg for laboratory research. Each vial contains the stated amount of delta sleep-inducing peptide as lyophilized powder.
- 5 mg: per vial
- 10 mg: per vial
- 20 mg: per vial
DSIP (delta sleep-inducing peptide, emideltide) is a nonapeptide with the sequence Trp-Ala-Gly-Gly-Asp-Ala-Ser-Gly-Glu, identified by CAS 62568-57-4.
Choose the size
The 5 mg, 10 mg and 20 mg vials contain the same peptide in different labelled amounts. The sequence and specification are the same across sizes; only the quantity per vial differs. Select the size according to the total quantity your experimental work requires.
DSIP is supplied here as a single peptide. It is not a blend and does not contain other sleep- or neuropeptide-related compounds.
What the research establishes
Schoenenberger and Monnier characterised DSIP after isolating it from rabbits in which slow-wave sleep had been induced. They determined its nine-residue sequence, synthesised it alongside fragments and analogues, and infused each into the cerebral ventricles of rabbits in a double-blind design. Only the synthetic nonapeptide produced a specific increase in delta and spindle EEG activity.
These findings concern intraventricular DSIP in a rabbit EEG model under those experimental conditions. They do not describe the properties or performance of this product, and later work on DSIP has produced mixed results across models.
Review the COA and product files
The COA & Documentation page contains the available batch reports and product documentation. Check that the lot number and strength match your vial, that the identity method (for example mass spectrometry) matches the expected molecular weight of the nonapeptide, and which method (typically HPLC) was used to determine purity.
The strengths above describe labelled material, not a measured result for every lot. For handling and storage, consult the records that apply to your lot.
