Description
AOD-9604 5 mg and 10 mg
Buy AOD-9604 5 mg or 10 mg for laboratory research. Each vial contains the labeled amount of AOD-9604 as lyophilized powder.
- 5 mg: per vial
- 10 mg: per vial
AOD-9604 is a 16-amino-acid synthetic peptide, sequence YLRIVQCRSVEGSCGF, based on the C-terminal 176–191 region of human growth hormone with a tyrosine at the N-terminus. It is identified by CAS 221231-10-3.
Choose the size
The 5 mg and 10 mg vials contain the same peptide in different labeled amounts. Identity and specification are the same at both strengths.
AOD-9604 is a fragment analogue, not full-length growth hormone, and it is not a growth hormone secretagogue. The GHRH analogues and ipamorelin listed elsewhere on this store act on different receptors and are separate molecules.
What the research establishes
Heffernan and colleagues compared human growth hormone and AOD-9604 in obese mice and in β3-adrenergic receptor knock-out mice. In obese mice, both reduced body weight and body fat over 14 days and increased β3-adrenergic receptor RNA towards levels seen in lean animals. Chronic treatment did not produce the same weight or lipolysis changes in knock-out mice, although AOD-9604 still increased energy expenditure and fat oxidation in an acute experiment. The authors concluded that the lipolytic effects were not mediated directly through the β3-adrenergic receptor.
These findings concern AOD-9604 in mouse models under those experimental conditions, not the performance of this product.
Review the COA and product files
The COA & Documentation page contains the available batch reports and product documentation. Check the lot and strength, how identity was confirmed (typically mass spectrometry against the expected mass for the 16-residue sequence), and the purity method used (typically HPLC).
The strengths above describe labeled material, not a measured result for every lot. For handling and storage, consult the records applicable to the lot you hold.
